diorama

Scan a room with your iPhone. We turn it into a 2.5D layout your guests actually want to look at.

what it is

Diorama is a service and an app. Hotels, apartment communities, senior housing, conference centers and restaurants come to us with a room. We give them back a 2.5D picture of it — warm, styled, on brand, and far more useful than a floor plan.

The app is built for the Apple iPhone with LiDAR. It scans the geometry of the room while you walk it, then takes your photos of the finishes, furniture and light. Our studio team picks it up from there and draws the space. Nothing is auto-generated and nothing ships without a designer's eye on it.

how it works

scan, upload,
we do the rest

A LiDAR iPhone scanning a hotel room, mesh overlay visible on screen
  1. 01

    Scan the room

Open Diorama on a LiDAR-equipped iPhone and walk the space slowly. The app captures the room geometry — walls, openings, ceiling height, fixed millwork — in a few minutes, no tripod, no crew, no measuring tape.

  2. 02

    Upload your photos

Add reference photography straight from the phone: finishes, furniture, artwork, lighting, the view out the window. The more you shoot, the closer the final diorama sits to the real room.

  3. 03

    We build it by hand

Our team takes the scan and the photos and builds a 2.5D diorama — an isometric cutaway of your space, styled to your brand palette, drawn and finished by designers rather than spat out by an algorithm.

questions

How is pricing calculated?
Diorama is priced at $0.75 per square foot of finished space. A 250 sq ft guest room comes to $187.50. Square footage is taken from the LiDAR scan, so you are billed on the real room, not the brochure number.
Do we need to scan every room?
No. Most properties scan one room per room type, then we repeat the diorama across the identical keys with the finish variations swapped in.
How long does it take?
3–5 business days from the moment the last scan and photo set is uploaded. Larger portfolios are scheduled in batches so the first room types land first.
What if we do not have a LiDAR iPhone?
Tell us the property address and we will send a member of the team out to scan it, or ship a loaner device for the week.
Who owns the artwork?
You do. Every diorama is delivered with full commercial usage rights for your marketing, OTA listings, leasing pages and print collateral.
